Anne Hathaway and James Franco to host Oscars

Anne Hathaway and James Franco to host Oscars
She was nearly on the receiving end of an Oscar in 2008 for her role in Rachel Getting Married.

And now it has been revealed that Anne Hathaway will be fronting the 2011 Oscar ceremony.

The 28-year-old will co-host the awards with actor James Franco, best known for his roles in the Spiderman films.

Award producers Bruce Cohen and Don Mischer said of the pair: "[They] personify the next generation of Hollywood icons - fresh, exciting and multi-talented."

"We hope to create an Oscar broadcast that will both showcase their incredible talents and entertain the world on February 27."

Anne and 32-year-old James will be the youngest hosts of the show since 29-year-old Goldie Hawn accepted the hosting prestige in 1975.
