Geordie beauty Cheryl Cole is gearing up to crack America after being offered one of the coveted spots on the USA X Factor judging panel.
Cheryl was reportedly formally offered the job on Saturday night after American execs from Fox watched her in action on the show and made their final decision.
Simon Cowell broke the news and Cheryl was said to be "delighted" about the new post, thought to be worth as much as £3 million.
She has already secured a deal to release her new album Messy Little Raindrops in the States.
Now pals are saying the X Factor contract could be her ticket to superstardom.
X Factor representatives have so far refused to confirm Cheryl's place on the panel.
Simon has said that he plans to announce the news in December.
The 51-year-old said: "There will be some surprises."
He added: "OK, one of the judges has quite long hair."
